About the event
Fresh from its debut in Edinburgh in 2025, the Literary Escape Festival is hitting the road in 2026 and it’s bringing the cosy magic of books, gifts, and creativity with it.
Step into a world where stories meet craftsmanship. Meet brilliant authors in person, discover your next favourite read, and even take home a signed copy (or a stack – we won’t judge). Wander through stalls from talented small businesses and crafters, where you’ll find everything from beautifully handmade bookmarks to scented candles and thoughtful gifts – perfect for treating yourself or finding that ideal Mother’s Day present.
This isn’t just a book festival – it’s your ticket to a curated escape into the warm, wonderful universe readers adore. Whether you’re a lifelong bookworm or someone who just enjoys a good page-turner now and then, you’ll feel right at home.
