The Library Cat - Alex Howard

Meet Library Cat, the rather extraordinary feline resident of the University of Edinburgh's Main Library. With a sharp mind, a curious nature and a particular fondness for books, this is no ordinary cat.

Leaving behind the comfort of his favourite turquoise chair, Library Cat sets off on a journey of discovery beyond the familiar library walls. Along the way, he encounters an unforgettable collection of characters, from fellow felines to unexpected companions, as he explores the strange and often confusing world around him.

Blending gentle humour, charming storytelling and thought-provoking observations, Library Cat offers a wonderfully imaginative look at life through the eyes of a cat who has plenty to say about human behaviour.

Whimsical, witty and full of feline personality, this is a delightful read for cat lovers, book enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys a story with a little philosophical curiosity.

From the author of the bestselling The Ghost Cat, Library Cat won The People's Book Prize 2017 (Beryl Bainbridge Award for Best First Time Author).
